Overview

Patricia Buckley operates the website patriciabuckley.com and provides digital educational resources designed to support teachers across Jamaica.

To protect the integrity of these materials and uphold copyright requirements, all products purchased by individual teachers are supplied under a Teacher Licence Policy.

This policy explains how individual teachers may purchase, access, and use digital resources.

1. Licence Requirement

Each purchase grants a licence to the purchasing teacher only.

This means:

  • A teacher may use the resource only for their own classroom and students.
  • The licence may not be shared with other teachers.
  • The licence may not be transferred to another teacher or another school.
  • The download link is intended solely for the purchasing teacher.

This policy aligns with the copyright notice included in every resource:

“This material is licensed for use by the purchasing teacher or school only. Unauthorised copying, sharing, or distribution is prohibited.”

2. Delivery of Licensed Materials

Once checkout has been completed and payment by Direct Deposit has been confirmed:

  • The teacher will receive a secure download link.
  • The link provides access to all files included in the purchased product.

Teachers are responsible for keeping their download link secure and confidential.

3. Approved Payment Method

Teachers may purchase resources using Direct Deposit.

The process is as follows:

  1. Add the desired product to the cart.
  2. Submit the order.
  3. Receive banking details via email.
  4. Complete the Direct Deposit payment.
  5. Receive the digital download link after payment has been verified.

Teachers must include their Order Number in the bank transfer reference or payment notes to facilitate verification.

4. Copyright and Usage Rules

Teachers must ensure that:

  • Files are not forwarded or shared with other teachers.
  • Files are not uploaded to shared school drives, cloud storage systems, or staff resource folders.
  • Files are not posted in WhatsApp groups, Facebook groups, or other social media platforms.
  • Files are not reproduced for the use of other teachers.
  • Files are not used by another teacher, even if that teacher works at the same school.

Teachers may:

  • Print materials for use with their own students.
  • Upload materials to Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Moodle, or another Learning Management System (LMS) for their own students only.
  • Save materials on their personal device for lesson planning and classroom preparation.

5. Use Within Schools

If more than one teacher at a school wishes to use the same resource:

  • Each teacher must purchase an individual licence, or
  • The school must purchase a separate licence for each teacher who will use the resource.

Teachers may not share resources purchased under an individual licence with colleagues.
